Makes about 3 dozen doughnut holes.
Make sure you have the following items: deep fry thermometer and a small ice cream scoop.
- 1 1/2 qts frying oil
- 1 c whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/4 c unsalted melted butter
- 2 c all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 c coconut
- 1/2 c mini chocolate chips
Whisk the milk and eggs together in a small bowl. In a separate bowl combine the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Mix the liquid mixture into the dry, add the melted butter and mix until a dough forms.
Add the oil to the FireDisc and set the heat to high. Bring the oil to 350 degrees. Use the ice cream scoop to drop small balls. Fry in small batches, about 6 at a time.
Transfer doughnut holes to a paper lined plate with a slotted spoon. Top with the chocolate chips and coconut, allow to cool and serve!
