FireDisc® Deep 36-Inch Tall Portable Cooker is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition! I bought this as a Father's Day gift for my husband. We hunt and fish year round, and over the years have accumulated a nice collection of outdoor gear. We have a really nice cooking set up at our up at our permanent hunting grounds, but when we travel, taking all of that gear is just out of the question. The Firedisc is going to be an awesome addition to our traveling arsenal. I am looking forward to having a nice and hot REAL breakfast in the mornings before those frigid hunts, and can't wait to see what kind of campfire recipes we come up with for lunch and dinner. My husband LOVED this, and I'm sure we will get years of good use of out it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Search Is Over I've been on the hunt for a propane cooker that wasn't short for years and when I passed the FireDisc at my local hardware store I realized the search was finally over. I'm 6'7" and whether I'm frying fish or cooking in a discada the short propane cookers were killing my back making for a miserable experience. The FireDisc is tall enough that it doesn't break my back and works like a champ. I love the portability of the system and the fact that I've finally found a TALL cooker for cooking meals and frying up catfish! As a professional angler who spends a lot of time on the road the FireDisc will see lots of action all over the United States! Thanks FireDisc!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cancer Benefit We had a Benefit for a dear friend of ours who is battling Cancer. We had some really nice items for the live auction. The FireDisc caught my eye right off the bat. My wife and I had already discussed how much we would be donating, so when the 36" FireDisc came out I did not waste any time. My first bid was $500.00, that silenced most of the crowd. My wife kept telling my son to bid higher, well I not going to tell you how much I paid for it, but it was a win for the benefit. This FireDisc is awesome, not only will it be used at home, but it will be coming to the deer lease and the beach.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good solid product Just bought this, but been wanting to for years. I just expected that for all the shipping that I paid that the condition the box would come in would be a little bit better considering it ship through UPS who is more expensive than the regular post office. This is how I received my box. And then had UPS have the nerve to tell me that I was not allowed to finish opening the box to ensure that the products were not damaged. The Box literally looked like it fell out of the back of the airplane. After I was done chewing them out I did inspect the product and it held up, considering UPS can't seem to handle the weight of the package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cooker to add to your outdoor arsenal I thought I had all I needed for my outdoor cooking. Gas grill, smoker, Big Green Egg. Then I saw the FireDisc and thought. It look neat. Its portable. Sure, I think I could use that. Then I actually cooked with it. It is one of the most versatile and convenient cookers you will ever own. It will compliment anything you currently own. You can do things with the FireDisc that you can't on any other cooker. To date, I have fried donuts & chicken, made 3 gallons of gumbo, had a fajita party for 10 people, made paella, fried rice, and seared steaks. The FireDisc doesnt compete with a grill, a smoker, or a BGE. If you are a serious outdoor cooker, get yourself a FireDisc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite restaurant misses us My favorite server sent me a message, "Hey y'all, are you ok? I haven't seen you in a while." We use to eat out every week day, breakfast or lunch. Since my 1st Fire Disc arrived, we eat out maybe 1 time every other week. Sorry, but I LOVE cooking now and we are eating healthier. My grill, smoker, and kitchen stove also miss us. I have it down to a science. I load everything I need on my tray. (food, seasonings, utensils, plates, silverware, & water/paper towels for cleaning). I have cooked a variety of dishes (not all "one dish" foods) Chicken thighs with squash, shrimp & oysters, salmon, rib eyes, naked egg rolls, breakfast, brats & beer, steak fajitas & fried potato wedges. I can not rave enough over this thing. We love it so much we have since bought 2 more for wedding gifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Firedisc delivers I bought the 36" Firedisc a few days ago and I have already cooked fish, fajitas & breakfast on it. The Firedisc was easy to assemble and use. Wish I would found this sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun to cook with! I've had my FireDisc for about a week. I've cooked burger, kielbasa and London broil on it last week. Last night cooked stuffing, corn and BBQ country style pork ribs. Tonight I did a fish fry. I cooked asparagus and new potatoes, then added oil carefully and fired tarot tots and fish. Later on I will cook fried apple pie on it. It's a lot of fun experimenting with it. Definitely a must have for camping or tailgating. Currently just using it at the house. Going to experiment doing spaghetti this week.

Q&A

Is it possible to to not use the disc and just set a large pot on the flame- like to cook gumbo for example.

Asked by: Jlb2
We do not recommend using the FireDisc stand for other pots and pans. Our stand was developed to hold our disc securely. The FireDisc utilizes a low flow regulator and will not generate the flame that is needed that a gumbo/fryer pot would require. That is what allows it to efficiently use propane at a slower rate. You can get 3-5 meals out of a single 1 lb canister! Gumbo can be made in the deep FireDisc though! *Check out our Facebook Owners Group. Are the shallow and deep exactly the same concave cooking surface or is the deep a flat surface?

Asked by: Kevorkian
Both style cookers are a concave cooking surface. The inspiration for the FireDisc comes from the Plow-disc cooking from past generations.

What material is the disc? and how thick is it?

Asked by: Ramiro
The FireDisc Cooker is made from 11-gauge, ultra-high-carbon steel. Carbon steel has similar properties to cast iron, so you treat it the same as your best cast-iron cookware. Plus, it’s easy to clean. Check out our FAQ section for answers to many of the most common questions. https://www.firedisccookers.com/help-center/faq/

Do you sale the dish disc by it self

Asked by: Wiley
I'm sorry we don't offer the pan or stand for sale individually. FireDisc cookers are only sold as complete cooking systems. Each set contains a 2 piece stand and the cooking disc. Each component is designed and developed to work with the FireDisc to give you the ultimate cooking experience.

Is there a grill that goes on top of the disc or do you only use disc surface for "grilling"?

Asked by: Baff
FireDisc is designed for you to cook directly on the surface. The FireDisc® is made from Ultra-High carbon steel. Carbon steel has similar properties as cast iron as such you treat it the same way you treat your best cast iron cookware plus it is easy to clean. After cooking simply wash the FireDisc® out with water and wipe clean with a dry towel. If you need to deep clean the FireDisc® simply set the FireDisc® on high and allow the disc to heat for about 8 minutes. Pour a good amount of ice water including the ice in a circular motion in the disc, let boil, cool down, wipe clean, repeat as needed. For stubborn food that did come off, allow the disc to cool, use a good non-metal scouring brush add salt, scrub clean, rinse, and wipe dry. Using the salt will not harm the seasoned disc. Don’t forget to add a light layer of cooking oil (vegetable or canola) to the disc to prevent rusting.
