Buffalo Bayou Beer Braised Honey Chicken Sliders

  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tbs Siracha Hot Sauce
  • 1 Tbs Chili Powder
  • 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Cans Dreamsicle Beer (or your favorite beer)
  • 2 lbs Boneless Skinless Thighs
  • 3 Tbs Corn Starch
  • 3 Tbs Water
  • 1 Dozen Slider Buns
  • Pickles
  • 1 Red Onion
  • Place your FIREDISC® on low heat and place the first 8 ingredients into the disc.
  • Add the chicken thighs and beer next and place a lid on the FIREDISC®. Cook for 1.5 hours or until the chicken is fork tender and can be shredded. Remove chicken from the disc and shred.
  • At this time, strain the cooking liquid and skim fat off if you like. In a small bowl or cup mix your water and corn starch into a thick slurry.
  • Take braising liquid and bring to a low boil in the FIREDISC®. Add the corn starch and stir. Once the liquid is thickened you can add the shredded chicken and stir it all together and make sure its nice and coated.
  • Serve on slide buns with pickles and onions.
