OL’ Bart Likes – OL’ Bart Southern Eats
“Long gone are the days of the make shift camp stoves and the undersized camp grills! Here’s to FireDisc, allowing us to cook anything anywhere.”

I’m Bart Likes, the face behind Ol’ Bart Southern Eats, and if there’s one thing you need to know about me, it’s that I live for two things: the great outdoors and gathering folks around a table piled high with good food. Sure, I’ve had my share of epic hunts, but the real trophies in my memory aren’t hanging on the wall—they’re the late-night laughs, the campfire stories, and the unbreakable bonds forged with friends under wide-open skies.
Growing up in the Arkansas delta with a family full of larger-than-life characters shaped me into the man I am today. My southern mama ruled the kitchen, teaching me the art of a slow-simmered pot and the magic of a cast-iron skillet, while my Redman-chewin’ grandpa lit the fuse on my love for the wild—tossing me a gigging spear for frogs one day and a shotgun for ducks the next. That delta life fueled my obsession with everything outdoors, from muddy nights chasing bullfrogs to crisp mornings in the duck blind. Waterfowl hunting, though? That’s my heartbeat. I’ve been lucky enough to turn that passion into a gig, representing some of the best in the game as a pro-staff and field expert for outfits like Drake Waterfowl Systems, HEYBO, Moxie & Company, Chaos Outdoor Company, Outright Hunting Products, and Flyway Custom Calls.
Chasing ducks day after day, racking up miles, and hunting alongside some of the sharpest folks in the industry has been a wild ride. But it’s not just about the hunt—it’s about what happens when the guns go quiet. That’s where Ol’ Bart Southern Eats and my trusty Firedisc come in. Back in the day, we’d make do with granola bars and soggy sandwiches. Now? We’re cooking like kings. The Firedisc has revolutionized how we eat in the field—whether I’m frying up a mess of bacon for a crew of outfitters or grilling fresh duck for the boys crashed out at the boat ramp, waiting for that 4 a.m. launch. It’s portable, tough as nails, and lets me bring a taste of home to every muddy corner of the delta.
At my core, I’m a product of my raising—mama’s lessons in southern cooking and grandpa’s wild-eyed love for the outdoors run through everything I do. With Ol’ Bart Southern Eats, I’m blending those roots into every dish, serving up hearty, no-fuss meals that fill your belly and warm your soul. Whether it’s a skillet of cornbread, a pile of smoked duck, or just a pot of coffee brewing at dawn, I’m here to keep the good times rolling—one plate and one hunt at a time. Pull up a chair, y’all—there’s plenty to go around!
