• 1 1/4 c self rising cornmeal
  • 1/2 c of flour
  • 1/4 c white onion, chopped
  • 2 jalapeños, diced
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 8 oz creamed corn
  • 1 qt frying oil


Set your FireDisc to high heat and with a frying thermometer heat the oil to 350 F. Mix all ingredients minus the oil in a large mixing bowl and allow to rest for a few minutes.

Using a teaspoon, drop batter into the oil and cook until browned, about 3 minutes. Remove hush puppies with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel lined plate. Sprinkle with salt and enjoy!
