Brandied Mushrooms and cream sauce, atop strip steak is the perfect pairing. Recipe serves four
  • 4 Strip Steaks
  • 1 lb Baby Portabella Mushrooms, quartered
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 c Brandy
  • 1/4 c Cream
  • 2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
  • Set your FIREDISC® to High heat, add half the oil to the pan, and when hot sear the steaks on both sides (about 3 minutes per side).
  • Flip every minute after searing for about 6 minutes.
  • Move the steaks to the outside ring of the  FIREDISC®.
  • Add the remainder of the oil to the pan and sauté the mushrooms until nice and brown, about 10 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to medium on the  FIREDISC® and sauté the garlic for 2 minutes.
  • Move the vegetables to the outer ring of the  FIREDISC®.
  • Add the brandy to the pan and reduce the liquid to 1/4.
  • Add the cream, a touch of salt and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Move everything back into the center of the  FIREDISC®, spoon the sauce over steaks, serve and enjoy!
